Haunt Season 2018 Updates

A chill is in the air, the little monsters are back to school (can I get an amen?), the fair is over, and the creepiest among us who walk society pretending to be normal all summer, are busy as bees working to create their Syracuse area Haunted Attractions.

We've already received updates from attractions on what's to come, and learned some are adding new attractions and expanding!

Here are just a few (Listed Alphabetically)...

The folks at 13th Hour Rising haunted hayride in Fulton recently had a fun time at the Midway Drive-In theater. Ticket giveaways, a meet and greet, and they're amazingly creepy props set the perfect scene for the new movie, The Nun. Word on the street is they have a new indoor haunted attraction called "The Passage". Have we mentioned we LOVE Haunted Attractions?

Cayo industrial horror realm in Utica, has expanded to a whopping five attractions!

New for 2018, is the Atrophy Escape Ward.

Beyond their interactive haunted attraction, Cayo has recently branched into horror film production with the release of the movie, Necropath. It's currently showing at the Marquee Cinema in New Hartford, New York. We haven't seen it yet, but if they've captured anything remotely close to what is offered in person, we expect it's terrifying!

Demon Acres has let us know they are busy expanding their already amazing haunted hayride. In addition, guests can look forward to a new Fire Magick Show.

In August, they hosted the first "Camp Dread", an overnight camping experience in the forest. Camp Dread featured a late night horror movie by bonfire, a "midnight feeding", a black-out Haunted House experience and more.

Every year they seem to be growing in one way or another, looking forward to seeing what's in store for 2018.

The haunt masterminds of Frightmare Farms have re-"vamped" one of their indoor attractions into the Vampire themed Night Stalkers. Frightmare Farms is known to deliver the goods, and 2018 appears to be no exception.

In other FMF news, this year they've stretched their tentacles into the town of DeWitt opening "Containment", billed as "Syracuse's first live zombie experience". Their newest creation had a sneak peek this summer, but will be open for regular haunting hours during the holiday season in October. Containment occupies the former Fun Junction space in Shoppingtown mall.

The Trail of Terror in Fulton has added new scenes to their indoor haunted attraction, and rerouted their Trail. A CNY tradition for 29 years, the Trail of Terror is always a fun place to get your fright on with their two haunted attractions, roaring bonfire, and huge screen projecting horror movies.
